On June 1st, the Governor of the state of Quintana Roo (home of MMUN & MMCZ) announced a plan to reactivate the tourism industry. A traffic light model has been established for a gradual and orderly return to normality, based on factors such as geographic region and active cases.
Instructions have been issued for the reopening of 30% of the hotel sector, following strict hygiene protocols for guests and employees as well as measures in food services and limited occupancy levels. This is excellent news for tourism in Mexico as it points towards reopening more touristic areas. We will inform you of updates as received in an appropriate and timely manner.
